Data deletion
How to ask about removing personal information recorded in thingswetried.
In this document
A request starts a review.
The request process checks who is asking and which records are involved before any deletion. Sending an email is not a confirmation that information has been removed.
Start with a short request
Say whether you are a property buyer or a CRM team member. Include the email address or phone number used, and the property business’s name if you know it.
Do not attach identity documents, buyer lists or extra personal information to the first message.
Write a deletion requestConfirm which records are yours
The process starts by verifying the request and locating the records. If a property business collected the enquiry, handling the request may require its involvement.
Sending a request does not immediately delete data. We may need further details before the request can be assessed.
Understand the outcome
Our response explains what information was deleted, what could not be found, or why some records need to be retained. Backups and connected providers may have different removal processes.
We confirm the result of a verified request by email, including any information retained for legal, security or transaction-history reasons. Backup copies may remain until their retention cycle ends; if a backup is restored, the deletion instruction must be reapplied before ordinary use. Where a connected provider holds information independently, its own deletion process also applies. This is a manually handled request process, not an automatic delete button.
Other privacy requests
You can use the same contact for access or correction questions. Read the Privacy notice for the data categories and connected services.
To stop automated WhatsApp messages from a business, reply STOP in that conversation. A messaging opt-out and a deletion request are separate actions.
